I have a JD 5210 that has around 3000 hours and has never given me any kind of trouble on anything. My brother was looking for a smaller utility tractor just to rake hay and such. He found a JD 5210 with only 650 hours on it. Shines like it is new. He got it back in the early summer and has put maybe 50 hours on it.
The trouble is it just started losing all hydraulics in about 10-15 minutes after you start it. Changed filters and check oil. The oil is clean as new. Filters had nothing in them. Nothing seems to be making any noise.
I know it is a simple open center system. I have not worked on any JD 5000 series tractor hydraulics. I have been into a couple of clutches but zero hydraulics. I have the JD tech manual and will do some reading this weekend but was just wondering if any of you had worked on any of these tractors hydraulics??? Maybe a hint at what I maybe looking for.
I’ll suggest to check/clean hyd sump screen. If that doesn’t correct problem then check for a faulty relief valve.
